I feel like I am constantly posting favourites but I am trying to keep to the schedule of doing one when the month ends so here I am! Next week will be different haha! July has been a fun month of me as I got a job in a charity shop and had two spanish exchange students live with me again! I also had my prom too which I loved!
My first favourite is the MAC eyeshadow in Woodwinked. After watching one of ViviannaDoesMakeup's videos about the perfect bronzed look for the summer I just had to go out a buy this. Obviously MAC eyeshadows are very expensive but this colour is surprisingly so versatile and can be used for every look so is worth it. It applies like a dream feeling all creamy and soft but also the pigmentation is fab. The colour is obviously amazing too, you have a medium toned brown with a lovely golden shimmer in that when the sun hits my eye (if that makes sense) it looks fantastic.
Another favourite is the Essie nail varnish in Cute As A Button which is the perfect shade for summer. It s like a pink/coral colour and for me (unlike other people think) applies lovely for me which only needs a couple of layers.
I have really been loving my nail varnishes this month and again its an Essie nail varnish in Trophy Wife. It makes me feel like a mermaid when I put it on but also has a metallic look to it too. It takes 3/4 coats which is sort of disappointing but I just love the colour so so much.
Last nail varnish is the Topshop nail varnish in Play For Keeps, I just love the name of it! It's like the perfect work or school colour which for me in the summer is not that convenient but still! It's such a lovely peach colour and only needs a couple of coats of nail varnish too!
In the Summer I always get more lazier with my skincare routine which is very bad of me so I have started to pick up the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water every day. It removes all of your makeup so easily and does not irritate the skin at all or feel harsh, it has a more calming affect than anything.
For the Summer this is perfect, it gives a lovely glow and radiance as well as helps making me not look tired at all which is great for when I am staying up super duper late at night. It has an amazing coverage which does not feel heavy at all as well as an airbrush finish.
I'm going to be honest here everyone, I brought this from my local market (may sound horrible to some people but it was packaged and sealed) therefore I have no idea where it is from or how much. Don't hate me haha!! But I love it so so much! This is the Born To Be Wild one by the way. The print on bronzer is so cool and before I used the top layer there was glitter too which was really pretty. Its so buildable and pigmented as well as not being too orange for contouring (that I attempt to use) It is so easy to blend in and appiles like a dream, I just couldn't ask for more from a bronzer! It comes with a brush and compact mirror which is cool, I like to use the brush for contouring my nose to make it look smaller haha!
The new blogger hype is definitely the Benefit They're Real Eyeliner which I just couldn't resist to buy. I am so terrible at applying eyeliner so this has been a massive help to me. Although very expensive I do personally believe it is worth it. I love the shape of the tip as its perfect for creating the perfect winged eyeliner. My only criticism is that you need to work quickly otherwise it will dry out and then you won't be able to take it off. (It's incredibly hard to remove which can be a good and a bad thing!) It definitely does take a couple of tries to get it right but be patience and you'll be fine! The AccuFlex is a cool idea though as it makes the eyeliner flexible so it is easier to control and you can get closer to your lash line.
For the Summer I love to have a bright lip so in July I brought this cute Topshop lipstick in Tease. I feel like Barbie when I wear this, its a pigmented cool toned pink (looks a little lilac too) that gives a velvet and matte finish. It's a real pick me up lipstick for when I am feeling bored. Topshop lipsticks are slowly becoming my favourite lipsticks, even better than MAC!
My favourite place ever Lush had to be in my favourites, I haven't spoke about a bath bomb in a long long time so here we go! This is the Granny Takes A Dip bath bomb and how cool does it look?! It's ginger, pepper and lemon scented mmmmmm. But as soon as you drop it into the bath you just get a massive shock of bright colours everywhere like fireworks or a rainbow! And although people have criticised that it takes forever, I really liked that. It's such a refreshing bath bomb for me as I always go with lavender or vanilla so its been nice to have something different.
So this is the end of my monthly favourites, what have you been loving this month? Comment below!
