Hello everyone, I am Ellie from Makeup and Other Junk and some of you may be remember me from the beauty box swap that me and Taylor did a while back. She contacted me a few weeks ago asking to do a guest post for her lovely blog and I jumped at the chance, so thanks Taylor for asking me! Today's post is going to be a MAC favourites. MAC is definitely one of my favourite brands and I have never done one of these posts before and I also really enjoyed picking out all the products I am going to mention.
Ok, so the first product is MAC's Blush in Dollymix. This is a gorgeous, vibrate pink blush. It does look a lot more scary in the pan but when you apply it, it simply looks amazing and gives you that 'I've been out in the cold' look. I love MAC blushers as they are extremely well pigmented and they literally last forever. I have had this for just over a year and there is barely a dent in it.
Left to right: Bronze, Naked Lunch and Cranberry.
Next up are three eyeshadows from my palette which I did a whole blog post over on my blog which you can see by clicking here!. First of all is bronze which is a very dark golden shade with brown aswell. This is such a pigmented eyeshadow and I normally wear this just on its own, so it's great for everyday! Secondly is Naked Lunch which is raved about by so many bloggers. this is one of MAC's most famous shades and I can definitely see why. Naked lunch is the perfect champagne base that you can sweep across the lid and it looks so pretty too! Finally, is Cranberry, I love this purely because it is so versatile. I can wear this in winter to create that perfect smokey eye, or in summer I can use it if I want to be more colourful. As the name suggests this is a beautiful cranberry colour, like all MAC eyeshadows it blends seamlessly.
Another one of my MAC favourites is the studio sculpt concealer and I have the shade NW15, which is a teeny bit too dark for me at the moment but it is perfect in summer. This is a cream to powder concealer which is has such good coverage - it covers spots and blemishes perfectly and certainly doesn't look cakey on the skin which I love. The only think 'bad' with this product is that I wouldn't recommend that you use it under your eyes as it does have a tendency to crease if I use it under my eyes - so beware!
I also have a paint pot in Bare study - which is a gorgeous pink-champagne colour. This is perfect as a base because it makes your eyeshadow last so much longer. You can also wear this on its own as it still looks lovely and these are so easy to apply.
Next is my favourite lipstick - I only have 3 lipsticks from MAC but this is definitely my most loved. I got this on recommendation from Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup. I love this because it is such an easy shade to wear as it is so natural - but you can still tell that your wearing something on your lips. I would describe the colour as a peach with a tint of pink running through it.
Last but not least, is my well loved 217 brush, I love this because it is so so soft and it blends your eyeshadow so perfectly and seamlessly. Although there are definitely just as good brushes like this if you cant afford this as it has a hefty price tag of £17.
So, that's all I have for you, I hope you liked this and make sure you leave lots of comments telling me what your favourite MAC products are! Again thank you so much to Taylor for asking me to do this!
